When looking at Stressless furniture, it’s important to understand the leathers available in order to choose the right fit for you and your family. With a variety of leather grades available, here is a look into the characteristics of the leathers and what they mean for you.

Batick

Stressless Consul in Batick Wild Dove

Batick is a corrected, pigment-based leather where most of the natural grains and marks on the leather are removed. With a protective layer of lacquer, Batick leather is easy to maintain and clean. A sensible option for families, Batick is the entry-level leather, although the colour will change over time with use and exposure to light.

Cori

Stressless Mayfair in Cori Fog

The Cori leather is a corrected, pigment-based leather. Similar to the Batick leather, where most of the natural grains and marks on the leather are removed, Cori is thicker than the Batick. With a distinct pebbled grain to add depth and character to the surface, the Cori leather is also easy to maintain and clean, making it ideal for families and regular use.

Paloma

Stressless Mayfair in Paloma Almond

A less-corrected leather, the Paloma combines dyes and pigments to smooth down the leather. Natural marks, scars, and grains will appear more visible, giving a softer, more natural-looking appearance. A popular choice, Paloma leather has a thin coat of lacquer that offers some protection and simple cleaning.

Noblesse

Stressless Stella in Noblesse Black

A full-grain, semi-aniline leather, the Noblesse leather, is dyed using a light surface treatment. As the Noblesse is not pigmented, the leather is more delicate and therefore more susceptible to wear, heat, stains, and sweat; therefore, minor colour nuances and skin blemishes may occur. Regular maintenance is important to maintain its attractive appearance.

Fabric

Stressless Reno in Calido Light Grey

With a variety of fabrics to choose from, Stressless have categorised their fabrics under different names to simplify the characteristics and compositions. All priced the same, fabric collection is available in a wide variety of colours.

  • Begonia: A velour fabric with a medium-length pile, the silky Begonia covers are hardwearing and easy to clean.
  • Calido: A wool fabric that is soft to touch, Calido’s natural fibre offers a breathable and comfortable fabric.
  • Clover: A wool fabric designed to keep you warm when it’s cold and vice versa, the Clover fabric is soft and cosy.
  • Peony: A wool fabric with a delicate herringbone pattern. The durable wool yarn is breathable and high-quality.
  • Silva: A wool fabric that’s timeless and feels comfortable next-to-skin, the Silva is a popular choice.
  • Yoredale: A wool fabric composed of 95% wool, the Yoredale creates a classic and warm interior.
